Surveys
The FoodSafety4EU partners are exploring the routes of Food Safety in Europe to update knowledge, information and discover how to improve it for the future!
NEW SURVEY 2023!
The survey on RISK ASSESSMENT and management status of current and emerging food safety issues, focusing on
MYCOTOXINS and FOOD CONTACT MATERIALS is ongoing!
Fill it out here by clicking on your country bottom below!
The survey will aim to identify the different stages of risk assessment and/or risk management on several different substances split into 2 groups:
Mycotoxins (T2/HT2, DON, Alternaria, Enniatins)
Food Contact Materials (MOSH/MOAH, Phthalates (DEHP, DBP, DiBP), Bisphenols (BPA, TBBPA, BPS) and metals (Lead, Cadmium)).
Some of these substances are already regulated by national/EU law, but are not (yet) risk assessed for particular countries.
For Mycotoxins the possibility for regional rather than national applicability is included in the survey.
The data collected will be used in the development of a harmonisation and integration roadmap.
This survey is linked to the co-creation of roadmaps for risk analysis of food safety issues in a circular economy,
and will complete the work developed under the FSOLab 1, led by the lab managers
Niels van der Linden and Pieternel Luning, from Wageningen University and Research.
Thank you for your contribution!
FS4EU has conducted four online surveys addressing different targets:
- FOOD BUSINESS OPERATORS: Industry, Small Medium Enterprises and farmers, – to collect needs and perspective on food safety risk
Industries, companies, Small and Medium Enterprises, farmers who work along the food chain, in cultivating, preparing, processing, controlling, delivering food products. This category includes all the companies providing services for the food industry, from laboratory analysis to packaging and retail services.

Click here to participate! - PUBLIC AND PRIVATE BODIES, UNIVERSITIES AND RESEARCH ORGANIZATIONS – to update the knowledge on different sources of funding for Food Safety at regional, national and international level.
Click here to participate! - FOOD SAFETY AUTHORITIES – to gather information about the food safety risk communication Agencies and Authorities acting at the national/regional level to implement the Food Safety policies and regulation.
The surveys – launched in May 2021 – closed in
August 2021 (consumers and business surveys) and October 2021 (research funding survey).
They are available in several languages!
Results are coming soon!
The survey results in our next actions to co-create the future European Food Safety strategies and policies for the European Commission including input from all EU!
